Get Rid Of Unwanted Stretch Marks Using Different Methods
I was trying to find a good article on getting rid of stretch marks for my next presentation with newbie mothers. Some women in our town organized this small club where new mommies can share experiences and tips on issues that affect them. They also try to invite resource speakers to talk about some topics that they are interested in and for their meeting this week one of my friends invited me. Although I am not really an expert when it comes to stretch marks I know a bit about it since I experienced it myself and went through a lot to bring my old skin back. I cannot wait to share the things I went through and what I have done to liberate myself from it.
There are many ways and methods you can use in getting rid of stretch marks and one of this is by the application of Tretinoin. This ingredient is found in most creams that are specifically used in the reduction and elimination of stretch marks. Retin-A is a topical medicine that has a 0.1% content of this ingredient. It is proven highly effective in reducing the appearance of stretch marks but is highly recommended for use when the scars are still fresh. However, it is not advisable to use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding because the chemical ingredients may be absorbed by the body or your baby.
Getting rid of stretch marks is very difficult especially if you haven’t done any prior preparation to avoid it. This is what I was thinking when my friend came rushing to my house to show me her unsightly marks. She recently gave birth when she was overseas doing her medical mission and it was unfortunate that she was assigned in a truly rural and poor country without any access to stretch mark creams and other pregnancy essentials. Although she kept saying that it was worth and she doesn’t have any regrets I know that she still feels sad for having to suffer from it.
If you want to go natural all the way in getting rid of stretch marks here are some methods you may want to try. Letting time take its course and allowing the scars to fade naturally is one. Taking a bath using a loofah and exfoliating your skin daily is another. Improving your blood circulation to make your skin healthy can be done by oral hydration and taking warm baths. Getting regular massages on areas of the body where stretch marks are most likely to appear would help in its prevention and reduction. Taking regular sun tans can cover up the whitish scars left behind by skin stretching.
Getting rid of stretch marks is one of the most difficult things to accomplish after giving birth. It is as if sleepless nights and breast feeding are not enough to make a new mommy miserable, nature has to give us unsightly marks that will make us say goodbye to our bikini-days. Hopefully more effective creams would be invented to finally remove stretch marks completely. I am just one of the many mothers who don’t feel good looking at a full length mirror after giving birth and I am truly regretful that I didn’t apply stretch mark cream early on in my pregnancy so that I wouldn’t have this problem today.
Getting rid of stretch marks shouldn’t be that big of an ordeal if I have only believed my friends that I need a good stretch mark cream to prevent it from happening. Considering that I always have good skin I never realized that I will be a victim of these unsightly marks. But I can no longer turn back time, my only consolation is that I have a healthy baby boy who I wouldn’t trade for anyone or anything else, not even a smooth and clear belly. Although I may not look the same way as I do before getting pregnant it doesn’t matter, I will just treat these marks as honor badges.
